Dove Cottage

New-build replacement dwelling, Buckinghamshire

Replacement dwelling, steep gabled roof, high quality details and workmanship, overlooking Green Belt

Dove Cottage sits on a long narrow site on the edge of the picturesque village of Chalfont St Giles overlooking the green belt. Our design consists of a large double fronted house with substantial reception rooms opening onto the delightful garden with good views of farmland beyond.

The complex double pitch allows for spacious rooms at first floor level whilst still respecting the height of the lower neighbouring properties. The bedrooms are open to the roof and benefit from high level dormers to maximise light into the centre of a deep plan.

The scheme is designed in the spirit of the Arts and Craft movement and includes good quality joinery and brickwork details that are in keeping with the surrounding 1920’s architecture.
